The buzz word during this time of the year is holiday outfit ideas. Last week I attended my company’s Christmas party, and for the rest of the afternoon, I was referred to as the lady in red. A great Christmas party is motivation alone to help you choose a stunning outfit. I always looks forward to attending Christmas parties because I get to indulge in all the Christmas traditions. Secret Santa, stuffing stockings, drinking eggnog, candy canes, baking holiday cookies, gift wrapping I mean the list goes on.
Whether I’m hosting a Christmas party or attending one, I partake in different Christmas activities because only cherished memories come out of them. My rule of thumb when attending a Christmas party is to pick out a statement outfit. I stay away from outfits that are easily overshadowed or those which don’t compliment my body and complexion. Wearing sequins and bold Christmas colors is a good place to start. Sequins have always been a holiday sensation. They come in bold colors and different kinds of geometric shapes. They are the epitome of elegance and class for a holiday party.
Red is my favorite color as you all know therefore, I decided to wear an all red look to the Christmas party. My entire outfit is from Express. The turtle neck sweater similar, which is very comfortable, the red pants alternative or similar that I have worn for three Christmases now and these two toned mules alternative. Needless to say, wearing monochrome is elegant and chic however you have to know the right way to style your look. This was a definite risk because I had never worn a monochromatic ensemble before. The compliments I got during the party reassured my decision to go all red.
