New York is always a breath of fresh air to me. It is my mystery hideout when I want to step away from life responsibilities and wind down. Because the city is about three hours from the DC area, it is always easy taking a weekend trip up there. One thing I find attractive about New York is the food, culture and diversity. It is like one big melting pot where different people come together and share a unique side to them. I stuffed my face with lots of good food, went to a cool rooftop bar in the middle of Manhattan where I got stuck in an elevator at the end of the evening. That was a bit rough. From spending a lot of time on the phone trying to figure out how the FDNY could save our lives to having to deal with a restless and anxious individual in the elevator, you can never anticipate things like this. Needless to say, it is always these experiences that add excitement and twists to a weekend trip. The weather was perfect, not humid which felt like mid spring. I wore a denim skirt (alternative) and paired it with this gingham off shoulder crop top. I wanted to achieve a casual chic look so I wore flat mules, (alternative). These ombré bon-bon earrings elevated the look by adding color and an element of class. I’m not one to wear long detailed earrings like this however I really like how these earrings add so much to the look.
