Happy Memorial Day weekend everyone! I have to say, I can get used to a three-day weekend and not complain a bit! I’m loving the off the shoulder trend more and more because it does my shoulder blades justice.
Culottes pair well with off shoulder tops especially if they can be worn above the waist line giving you a high-waisted look. I remember when “off the shoulder” pieces started trending and feeling a bit iffy about the trend. I did not initially think that I would learn to feel comfortable when I wear off the shoulder dresses and tops. The key to feeling comfortable with this style is trying to find some type of comfort in wearing a specific item. My main concern was having to wear strapless bras which we all know can be a pain if they are not supported by a tight dress or top. I learnt that it is ok going braless, at least in my case, when I wear off the shoulder pieces. This has worked for me and still does. This was my source of comfort in embracing this trend which I btw love love.
For those with a much heavier bust, you can always wear a strapless bra and support it with a bandeau. This off the shoulder crop top (alternative) is super chic and versatile. I had to get it in black too. Why not ha! It is comfortable and has light weight which makes it a great off the shoulder top for summer. These mustard culottes (alternative) have a linen feel that makes them comfortable to pair with this top. They flatter my silhouette and make for a great color pop. I added intrigue to the look with this Mango floral cross body bag (alternative) and opted for criss cross sandals (alternative) to finish the look off. This look is a great option for the Labor Day festivities or any summer cookouts that I’m sure you all await. The look is also a great option to welcome summer in style.
