I have noticed that this summer is going to pass by and when I look back, I won’t have something memorable to look back at. I usually plan my summers ahead of time by arranging trips and adventures to partake in. Like last year, I went to Europe and had one of the greatest adventures thus far. This time around, not so much! I have had a lot of life transitions that have come as an obstacle for me to plan a few travels this summer. As you all know, I just graduated from graduate school and them shortly after, I started a new job. This has made traveling quiet of challenge because I have obligations that conflict with having to travel.
However, I have had to tell myself that each summer will vary according to how the year turns out. I am content at this point with traveling local and visiting some cool places in the states. This is how I can make the best of a summer which at this point does not have much to look forward to. This past Saturday, I decided to go spend some time in my neighborhood hanging around with friends. It was humid and hot so I decided to wear this off the shoulder polka dot dress. I love polka dots because they are a unique print. They stand out and are easy to style. You also can’t go wrong with an off shoulder dress so this was a win win. I wanted a simple minimal look, so I wore these African print sandals (alternative) from Topshop. They are causal and versatile. I know it sucks when summer turns out to be a boring for you however, it boils down to how you want it to turn out. I have arranged a few local trips around my tight schedule so stay tuned for a post or two on them. Thanks for stopping by.
