I hope everyone is off to a good start with the week. Last night, I celebrated the most epic birthday I never dreamed to have. For the last 25 years, I did not put thought into having an over the top birthday and always stuck to the dinner with family and friends routine. This time around, I decided to hit 26 with a bang and went all out by jet setting with my family to the Island of Hawai’i. Fast forward to what I wanted to do on my big day; A Hawaiian Luau came to mind when I was brainstorming things to do. Germaine’s Luau was nothing but an extravaganza of Polynesia culture from the food, the music and the atmosphere. I literally felt as though I was on the reunion of Survivor because of the spectacular ambience. The Luau was held at the water front in Kapolei where all the attendees were welcomed by the tranquility of the sunset and the relaxing waves of the ocean with their crushing force on the shore rocks. We were all welcomed by the Polynesian dancers with leis. This was selfies time for me, you know ha! I enjoyed every bit of this event especially when the crowd got to sing “happy birthday” to everyone that was born on this special day. I think that was the highlight of my night aside from getting laid with uniquely crafted leis. I wore this floral dress alternative here to blend in with the party goers and to also acknowledge the importance of flowers to Polynesians. I think everyone in their lifetime should have a birthday to look back at and reminisce. I know so far, this is the one for me.
Thank you for stopping by. Cheers xo!
