A DAY TRIP TO NEW YORK

March 5, 2017

New York (NY) is always a fun and convenient getaway especially if you live on the East Coast. This past weekend, I decided to drive down to the big apple for the day to one of the capital cities of the world, Manhattan. I had a great time playing tourist as I had not been back to NY in a very long time. NY has an interesting side to it because it is a metropolitan area. You get to indulge in many sub cultures that the city has to offer on top of seeing the amazing views in town.

It was extremely windy and cold and I definitely did not dress up for these wild  temperatures. I knew better but still wanted to look cute. I dressed up in Zara from head to toe. My coat (alternative) was warm enough to get me going however, my boots (similar in yellow here) could only keep my toes warm for so long. Big mistake! To my surprise, my jeans despite being destroyed kept me warm.

style-synopsis-new-york-sushirritoEvery time I am in New York I always try to find the best food spots that we do not have in the DMV. Sushiritto was a no brainer because of how people rave about it down there. I liked the size of their sushi burritos as they are bigger than what you get at Buredo in DC for the same price. SCORE! I love food so getting more for pocket change is always a plus in my book. Overall, my New York day trip was worth while despite the chilly temperatures that I will probably dress for accordingly next time. Thanks for stopping by.
